Vittorio Emanuele n. 85, si \u00e8 concretizzata quando, nell\u2019ambito dell\u2019iniziativa \u201cLe vie dei tesori\u201d, la Fondazione Salvare Palermo ha incaricato il mio amico Toti Moncada, esperto e appassionato conoscitore della storia di Palermo e dei suoi manufatti, di guidare i visitatori durante i sabati e le domeniche del mese di ottobre del 2022.<br \/>La chiesa \u00e8 attribuita ad Antonello Gagini che mor\u00ec prima di completarla e fu voluta da alcuni facoltosi personaggi del tempo per celebrare il salvataggio di un gruppo di navi sfuggite ad una tempesta e guidate, in seguito all\u2019apparizione della Madonna, ad un \u201cporto salvo\u201d.<br \/>Nel 1581 la chiesa sub\u00ec il taglio di una parte della costruzione quando il Senato deliber\u00f2 il prolungamento del Cassaro fino a mare.<br \/>All\u2019interno si possono ammirare trittici, statue e tele di scuola novelliana.<\/p><p><strong><em>Prima di iniziare la visita alla chiesa di Santa Maria di Porto Salvo non si pu\u00f2 non ammirare la fontana del Garraffo e uno dei ficus di Villa Garibaldi<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element
